Robert Scoble’s Newspapers Are Dead post has generated quite a bit of commentary but I don’t see anyone talking about the State of the News Media Report I mentioned yesterday. The report would seem to be a nice framework for discussing what’s happening to the media in the meshverse so hopefully someone will pick up on in it. For folks reading this who don’t write blogs, it may not be obvious that many blogs generate automatic notices when you link to them, some even post your link as a comment[UPDATE: after posting this entry, Scoble's blog platform was notified and automatically created this comment ]. This automation is generally known as trackback and plays a key role not just in blogs but throughout the meshverse.
